BEFORE RETROFITTING

Buildings of Cooperative Group Housing Society that are generally residence to hundreds of families started showing signs of distress due to various reason.

REASONS FOR RETROFOTTING

The Building start showing signs of distress that may include but are not limited to cracking. Spalling of concrete and in extreme cases bending / buckling of structural members.

These distress are generally caused due to water seepage corrosion, ageing and chemical action. These distress, if unaddressed can cause severe threat to structural safety of the buildings.

CHALLENGES FACED

CGHS are governed by honorary members, who are seldom from civil engineering field Coupled with their dependence on collection of funds makes project execution very slow.
